Jackie Shroff as Sai Baba in Malik Ek

Today in a tamil paper I read that Jackie Shroff is playing the role of Shridi Sai Baba in the bollywood film 'Malik Ek'.

Extract from Deccan Herald:

Jackie Shroff, who plays spiritual leader Sai Baba in a forthcoming moviehas quit smoking and drinking to get into the skin of the character. Jackie, who is also an ardent follower of the spiritual guru, said: "Now I feel as if Baba is guiding me in the film and I am only following his instructions."

Wedding invite from my friend

I got a wedding invite from one of my friend and I felt the wordings to be interesting. I am trying to reproduce the same as I don't have the physical copy of the invite or the content with me now.

I don't want to mention whose wedding invite is this till they open up in their blog first.

Two lives, two hearts
Joined together in friendship
United forever in Love

Rome is not built in a day
So is our relationship!

After countless glances
Days of deferred patience

Spamming E-mails
and hours of tele-voice

We have paired up!

Dasavatharam = Fancy dress competition!

I wasn't commenting much on the film as such till date because I watched the movie just yesterday which happened to be my wedding day (12th July). Guys to be very frank I haven't watched a worst movie like this in the recent past :( Before seeing the movie I loved the songs .... but on seeing the picturaization I lost interest in the songs as well now. To me, 'Santhosh Subramanimam' is a very good movie compared to 'Dasavatharam'. Only two characters which are nice to watch are 'Balram Naidu' and 'Japanese Karate Master' .... the rest are all plain trash.

If you want me to share my experience in one line this is how I would say 'I wasted 3 hrs watching a fancy dress competition on my 8th wedding anniversary'.

8th Wedding anniversary ....

On my sixth wedding anniversary i wrote about my love story here - http://vadivel.blogspot.com/2006/07/my-wedding-anniversary.html

Today (12-July-2008) is my 8th wedding anniversary and it is really a good feeling which I cannot express in words!

On my first anniversary (12-July-2001) I registered a house in Ramavaram, Chennai with the help of ICICI home loan. Today I am planning to do something which would keep my family happy for a long time. Hope everything goes well!

As usual we would start with Sai Baba temple for some good prayers / dharsan and then start roaming around the city :)

Why is this discrimination?

When a Girl Cries -- The World "Consoles" her
But when a boy cries -- Come on man don't be a "Girl"

If a Girl slaps a Boy -- Definitely the Boy would have "done something"
If Boy Slaps a girl -- Rascal doesn't know how to "Respect Ladies"

If a Girl is talking to Boys -- She is "Very Friendly"
If a Boy talks to a Girl -- He is "flirting"

If a Girl meets with accident -- Then its "mistake of others"
If a Boy meets with same accident -- Bloody you "don't know how to Drive"

Kuselan, Dasavathram Songs ...

I am listening to Kuselan songs for past few days and at the first instant the songs wheren't that catchy to me. The only song which was catchy on hearing it from the first time is Cinema Cinema.

In my view, Top 3 songs of Kuselan are:

1. Cinema Cinema
Artist(s): Shankar Mahadevan
Lyricist: Vaali

2. Perinba
Artist(s): Kailash Kher, Prasanna
Lyricist: Yugabharathi

3. Om Zaarare
Artist(s): Daler Mehndi, Chitra, Sadhana Sargam
Lyricist: Vaali

In my view, Top 3 songs of Dasavatharam are:

1. Ulaga Nayagan
Singer : Vinith
Lyrics : Vairamuthu

2. Kallai Mattum Kandal
Singer : Hariharan & Chorous
Lyrics : Vaali

3. Mukundha Mukundha
Singer : Sadhana Sargam & Kamal Hassan
Lyrics: Vaali

As of now, I feel that Dasvatharam songs were more catchy and the music was great. I love hearing to those songs more than Kuselan.

Needless to say, Muthu and Chandramukhi songs where also not catchy to me when it initially came out. But as day progress i started liking it!!! May be this movie too would add to that list!
