Sai Baba title song ...

If at all I have written something wrongly please let me know and help me correct it.

Faith in GOD ....

When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in his ablities.
But if GOD does not solve your problems, it means he has faith in your ablities.

WWW is not dependable ...

"In US, WWW is not dependable" -- this is the statement I heard from my friend today. I was thinking that he is pissed off with his internet connection :) but I was wrong.

According to him WWW stands for,

W - Weather [for ex: it rains in the morning, sunny in the afternoon, thunderstorm in the evening :)]

W - Wife [doesn't need an explanation]

W - Work [any time one can be laid-off here :(]

Top job interview blunders

Below are the couple of blunders which candidates have done during their interview process :)

- Candidate answered cell phone and asked the interviewer to leave her own office because it was a "private" conversation. [I wasn't able to control my laughter after reading this :)]

- Candidate told the interviewer he was fired for beating up his last boss.

Lauch of 'The Name is Rajinikanth'

In the launch of Rajinikanth's biography - 'The Name is Rajinikanth', prominent writer Mr. Cho. Ramaswamy said the following about 'Rajinikanth'.

Self Appraisal

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (phone numbers).

The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy: "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?
Woman: (at the other end of the phone line): "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Boy: "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now."
Woman: I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.

Boy: (with more perseverance): "Lady, I'll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach , Florida."
Woman: No, thank you.

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store Owner: "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."
Boy: "No thanks",

Store Owner: But you were really pleading for one.
Boy: No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady, I was talking to!"

This is what we call "Self-Appraisal" :)

Who am I?

By seeing my passport
In abroad, people call me as Indian
But in my own country
I still don't know who I am? :(

Within India, I'm a South Indian
Within India, I'am also called as Madrasi
Within Madras/Chennai I am a Tamilian!
Does anyone know who I am ?

To the Muslims/Christians/?? I am a Hindu
To the Hindus I'm a Pillai (or anyother caste name)
Do tell me who I am!!

For my wife I am a husband
For my parents I am a son
For my teachers I am a student
.....
Don't I have one single identity?

When people are being known by their language
When people are being known by their religion
When people are being known by their caste
When people are being known by their race :(
Can somebody say who I am?

I wish people just call me as a (nice) 'Human' and
not to bother about anything else.
That way I will know 'Who I am'!

Updated: I have put 'Human' now instead of 'Indian' as I have used in my original version. Actually I was thinking in that line but didn't change it because i felt I started by saying 'Indian' so let me finish it by 'Indian'. I know stupid logic :) But one of my friend Tejas asked me the same question. So i made the modification immediately :)

Is Jeans the safest dress for girls??

Italy's highest court has ruled that a woman wearing jeans cannot be raped. Check out this BBC article on this :(

Why do we wear the wedding ring on our 4th finger....

Till recently based on the articles I have read in the past I was thinking that the veins in our fourth finger are closer to our heart. So we wear the wedding rings in our 4th finger.

Few days back I got a mail which talks about the 'Chinese' theory relating to this. It was a really interesting read. Let me put it down here for you guys!

Chinese Explanation:

1. Thumb represents your parents
2. Second (Index) finger represents your siblings
3. Middle finger represents yourself
4. Fourth (Ring) finger represents your life partner
5. Last (Little) finger represents your children

Open your palms face-to-face and then bend the middle fingers and hold them together back-to-back. Secondly open and hold the remaining fingers from the thumb tip-to-tip as I have shown below.

Now try to separate your thumbs which represents your parents. They will open because your parents are not destined to life for rest of your life! They will leave you sooner or later.

Join the thumbs and separate the index fingers which represents the sibblings. This will also open because your brothers and sister would have their own families and will have to lead their own separate life.

Now join your index fingers and separate the little fingers which represents your children. They will open too because children will grow up, get married and settled down someday on their own.

Finally join your little fingers and try to separate your ring (fourth) finger which represents your spouse. You will be surprised to know that you cannot do it because husband and wife are meant to be together all through their lifes :)

If you are not able to follow the steps properly :) check out this movie in Metacafe

Hope this would have been an interesting read for you too!

3 Way Chess!

Mr. X: How good are you in chess?
Mr. Y: Pretty Good.

Mr. X: Oh is it! How long are you into this game?
Mr. Y: I am playing since my childhood and have represented my school, college, district, state and India too!! I have won numerous awards in this game!

Mr. X: Wow great. In how many moves can you defeat a person?
Mr. Y: Normal to intermediate level players I can easily beat in 3 moves. Master level players I will easily beat in 15 moves.

Mr. X: Man you are terrific. I am glad I met you now.
Mr. Y: Yeah its fine. These are small things for my standard

Mr. X: How about playing a game of chess with me. Don't bother I am not a great player like you but would want to give it a shot.
Mr. Y: Actually I need to rush. But no issues I can finish you off in 5 mins and go. Do you have a chessboard with you? If not, i can take my pocket board which Viswanathan Anand gave it to me as a gift when he lost to me last week!!!

Mr. X: oh my God. Viswanathan Anand has lost to you. Ok then I don't think I can beat you alone. Shall I invite my friend also to play with us?
Mr. Y: No problem you can call any number of your friends for your help dude. I have no issues at all. Then starts laughing sarcastically.

Mr. X: Runs and brings one of his friend from his neighbourhood. He then says, we are ready come into my drawing room we start our game.
Mr. Y: Picks up his mobile phone and talks to somebody saying that he will come to his house in 10 mins sharply. Then he starts walking pretty casually towards Mr. X's drawing room.

By the time Mr. Y reaches there Mr. X shouts saying come fast I have played my first move.

Mr. Y: ...sarcastically thinks..... what a rush for guys to lose to me....... but on reaching the drawing room he faints immediately.

WHY? Think for a minute and scroll down

What if Microsoft invented Linux?

Original Source: http://qgrab.com/digg/Corporate_Linux.jpg

Linux Logo:

If Microsoft invented Linux:

You are a donkey! as per Modern Mathematics.

Equation 1:

Human = eat + sleep + work + enjoy
Donkey = eat + sleep

Therefore, Human = Donkey + work + enjoy
so, Human - enjoy = Donkey + work

In other words, Human that don't know enjoy = Donkey that work --> (A)

Equation 2:

Men = eat + sleep + earn money
Donkeys = eat + sleep

Therefore, Men = Donkeys + earn money --> (B)
i.e., Men - earn money = Donkeys

In other words, Men that don't earn money = Donkeys --> (C)

Equation 3

Women = eat + sleep + spend
Donkeys = eat + sleep

Therefore, Women = Donkeys + spend --> (D)
i.e., Women - spend = Donkeys

In other words, Women that don't spend = Donkeys --> (E)

Conclusion:

From C and E, Men that don't earn money = Women that don't spend

So, Men earn money not to let women become Donkeys! (Postulate 1)
Women spend not to let men become Donkeys! (Postulate 2)

From B + D, we have
Men + Women = Donkeys + earn money + Donkeys + spend

From Postulates 1 and 2, we can conclude
Man + Woman = 2 Donkeys and the Donkeys live happily ever after! :)

Sachin gains back his top ranking in ODI

Sachin Tendulkar has reclaimed the number one position in ODI after the CB series. He scored 117 and 91 respectively in the first 2 finals of CB series against Australia and helped India create history. Those two knocks where match winning :)

Check out this interesting movie on Official Gmail Blog: Russian Gmail art. Thanks Ramani for sending me this link :)

Snowfall in Dallas...

The time shown in the pictures are all in IST :) I haven't changed it to CST yet. So don't get confused.

Sachin helped India create History in Australia ...

Sachin Tendulkar hit 91 runs in 121 balls in 2nd Final against Australia in the on-going CB Series. He fell just short of 9 runs else it would have been two wonderful back to back centuries in Australia.

Scorecard: Cricinfo

Extract from Kasprowicz (Australia's ex-pace bowler) Interview:

"What has always surprised me is that people have doubted him (for big matches) in India. Personally, I can’t believe it. He is such a strong player, not only for India but also for the younger players, who have the benefit of watching what he does and how he does it,"

Sachin Tendulkar hit his first ODI century in Australia and helped India win the first Final in the CB series. (117 runs in 120 balls)

Scorecard: Cricinfo

Extract from Ravi Shastri's post match interview:

1. Don't forget, Tendulkar doesn't have to prove no body about how good a player he his .....
2. Spectators in the ground had a banner reading 'Sachin Cricket Ground' instead of 'Sydney Cricket Ground' :)

"I play the game for passion and love. People have been writing all sorts of things and I don't want to prove anybody wrong"

Extract from Pontings Comments:

Tendulkar sums up a game situation very well, that's something we would require our batsmen to do and go for big knocks when set.

He has some sort of plan what we are trying to do. We have to think one step ahead of him

Watched NBA match Live in Stadium

Yesterday evening I went with my colleague Sudharsan for a NBA match between Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings in American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX.

We went 1 hour early to avoid getting stuck in traffic at the last minute and also to get the parking slot easily :) The atmosphere was really great. The stadium was quite big and attendance for that match was 20,354.

When we went in teams where practising and it was good to see them shoot at the basket with ease from various positions. One thing I noticed here is during breaks, timeouts we don't get bored as they do some events in that short time slot also ... Interesting! The best of the lot is cheerleaders dance performances :)

I participated in a survey there and won a beads chain as a gift. I have no clue on what i need to do with it :)

Back home we are crazy about Cricket I guess these people here are crazy about NBA and Football! I have watched few matches in ESPN but I haven't understood anything majorly. But Sudharsan helped me understand the rules and watching the match after knowing it was fun.

In the place I am staying now I majorly see only desi people. That's one another thing which I love about yesterdays match! Happy to see lots of American 'Girls' and guys at one place :)

The match was won by Dallas Mavericks.
